1. Extreme Heat Crisis! / 猛暑の危機

In the 21st century, it is no surprise that unexpected disasters can occur at anytime and anywhere. Disaster survivors are those who can protect themselves in any situation. In this episode, the theme is heatstroke, a danger lurking in extreme heat. Elementary school students from Kumamoto, southern Japan, conduct a thorough investigation and learn about the mechanisms and risks of heatstroke. For instance, how high temperature and humidity can reduce the body's ability to regulate body temperature. They also learn how to protect themselves from heatstroke and what to do if it does occur.

2. The Threat of Lightning! / 落雷の危機

In the 21st century, it is no surprise that unexpected disasters can occur at anytime and anywhere. Disaster survivors are those who can protect themselves in any situation. In this episode, the theme is the danger of lightning strikes. Despite the high fatality rate, many accidents occur because people underestimate the danger. Elementary school students from Kumamoto, southern Japan, research the mechanism of lightning strikes and learn through guidance where they are likely to occur and what survival methods are appropriate in an emergency.
